Next Monday, October 15th, the County's Planning, Housing and Economic Development (PHED) Committee will take a vote on whether to give McDOT free rein of monies that would be used to accelerate the building of M-83 (TPAR proposal starting on page 40). The County Council rejected this proposal two years ago; they can reject it again, with our help.
For those who have not yet emailed the County Council, we encourage your action to help stop TPAR. (See our October 7 blogspot.)
Earlier this week, (October 8) the PHED Committee heard requests from McDOT's Edgar Gonzales, who claimed that passing the TPAR would commit the county to a long list of controversial road projects, especially the hotly-disputed Mid-County Highway Extension.
